Material Trends - Quartz is Here to Stay!

Quartz has become extremely popular due to its properties and relative affordability.

Quartz is not porous, which means it will not stain if liquids are spilled. Because of quartz being non-porous, it is also very hygienic. Quartz is a household favorite because of the ease of maintenance, and it is durability. You are not limited with quartz to a few color and pattern options, it is a low maintenance material that comes in many colors, patterns, and finishes.

Popular Finishes

Although polished countertops are the most popular finish, honed and leather surface finishes are becoming increasingly popular.

Honed finished is a matte finish with little to no shine, the look of it will have a low sheen and a smooth surface. Honed finishes are quite popular because they conceal any scratches or flaws.

The leather finish is a soft sheen and is less glossy. The touch of the leathered finish has a different feel. Leather finish hides fingerprints and water spots very well, which is appealing to many customers.

Natural patterns are Still Popular

Having a bold countertop is in, people are starting to enjoy counters with character veining, patterns, and dramatic dark colors. The dark and dramatic colors will make your kitchen items such as dishes, flowers, and lines pop out. Countertops with veins add personality and creativity into your space that you can tie into other elements of your kitchen such as flooring, walls, and backsplash.

Make a statement with a Backsplash

Backsplash Is such a fun way to decorate alongside of your countertops. Adding in large slabs or full height backsplash with various textures and patters, will decorate any wall space. The colors and choices are endless when it comes to quartz, granite, or solid surface backsplash. You can add a pop of color that fits your personal taste, or you can keep it neutral and natural for a classic look.
